What this means

A return is a fact about the past. A Brierz rating asks a different question: how much of that record is evidence of skill rather than luck. A record can double in a few good weeks, with a handful of decisions, and still look like something luck could produce.

The tier says what the record shows; the 90% range says how sure the method is. When the range runs across 50, the point of no evidence either way, luck can’t be ruled out, however large the return.

How we counted

Rated vaults whose return on record is at least +100%. The return is the value of $1 put in at the vault’s start, after fees and funding; deposits and withdrawals are left out, so inflows never look like profit.
